Tennis in the United States is played on three kinds of places: public park courts run by a city or county, member clubs and country clubs with their own pros and leagues, and commercial tennis centers that sell court time by the hour. Public courts are usually free and first come, first served, with a posted limit (often 60-90 minutes when others are waiting); busier cities run online reservation systems with a small fee and a permit for the season. Indoor courts are rented by the hour and booked days ahead in winter. Most facilities are hard courts; clay is common in the Southeast and at private clubs, and grass is rare. Lights extend play into the evening at many parks, sometimes with a coin or app-operated switch.

Hours are published for 7 days a week. The most common schedule is 8 am–7:30 pm. Brooklyn is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Brooklyn is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

It’s beautiful. The courts are well kept. The people are nice. My son is attending and so far so good. He has no complaints and he can’t wait to learn more, he asked for a personal racket, tennis gear, visor etc. he wants to match the aesthetic. I love it. Definitely visit!

My parents were members in the 60's. I was a pin setter in the bowling alleys in the basement for a couple of years. I also "rolled" the tennis courts. I would shoot pool (I learned how to play on the 2 tables) and also watchedThe Knicks and the Rangers on the TV waiting for my folks after bowling. Oh, my dad was also the Liquor Chairman for awhile. Great memories

The website says you have to wait 6 years to become a member, and it seems you can't play without a membership. So just another exclusionary club designed to keep unwanted people away from facilities that should be open to all who are willing to pay to help maintain them. Tennis in NYC is restrictive and disrespectful.

Great place for tennis with good teachers. They have healthy snacks like grapes and water, and good trips. I would recommend this place to everyone.

I've been playing there for 20 plus years. Really nice place...kind of "I can't believe there are tennis courts back here" kind of place. All clay courts, well kept. Nice people to meet there. The coaches are awesome. Not too expensive.
